The Fry Basket – 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

If you’re looking for familiar favorites with a twist, The Fry Basket is going to be right up your alley. Located just outside of Test Track, this Global Marketplace is great place to start your tour of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

With plenty of standing tables, and even a few with benches, there’s almost always somewhere to take a seat. Shade is readily available from the canopy of trees, but there’s not much protection from the inclement weather. Watch out for rain or at least, bring an umbrella.

2024 The Fry Basket Menu

The Fry Basket truly represents the spirit of the festival for me. The menu is creative and original, even for the most basic food item – fries. But more than that, it’s home to the Fry Flight, which might be the best thing I’ve heard of. If you’re like me, Epcot festivals are about trying new things.

We’re not looking for full plates, we’re looking for snacks. Or at least snack sized portions.

Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli

Savor the Adobo Yuca Fries from The Fry Basket, perfectly seasoned and drizzled with a zesty garlic-cilantro aïoli, available at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. While we didn’t get a chance to try this plant-based dish last year, we’ve got high hopes holding out for it.

Fry Flight

Featuring Truffle-Parmesan Fries, Barbeque Bacon Fries with Smoked Aïoli, Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with Candied Pecans, Toasted Marshmallow Cream and Bourbon Maple Syrup. Drool.

The Truffle Parmesan fries are the closest thing to classic, with a very light earth flavor.

Our favorite by far is the Barbecue Bacon Fries. A dry barbecue seasoning is sprinkled on these potato sticks before being drenched in a smokey aioli and topped with salty, savory bacon bites.

But the Sweet Potato Fries I could do without. Extremely reminiscent of the Thanksgiving side dish, these taters should be savored last for dessert. The candied pecans and marshmallows are too sweet for my liking. I would like to get a vat of the bourbon maple syrup however,

Collective Arts Brewing Mango-Rita Sour with Chili, Ontario, Canada (NEW)

A brand new item for the 2024 Food and Wine Menu is the Mango-Rita Sour. And it’s at the top of my try list! You know your girl loves a good Margarita, but a fruity sour rita with a spicy twist? Yes, please.

Boyd & Blair Grapefruit Mule, Glenshaw, PA

The Grapefruit Mule looked absolutely stunning at last year’s event, but with so many delicious things to try. It hasn’t quite made the cut for our try list.

Previous Years The Fry Basket Menu Items

Pickle Fries with Dill Ranch

Because at the Fry Basket we get to try all kinds of fries, these beauties made their debut in 2023. We rated these 4 out of 5 stars for the crispy tangy brine, coated and fried to golden brown. Don’t worry, Pickle Fries can still be found in 2024 at the Brew Wing Lab.

The Salt Dog Cocktail is a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It sort of reminds me of a Paloma with a ginger twist. The sweet spicy notes of the ginger give an extra depth making this a complex cocktail worth the trip.
