The D23 Expo just wrapped up this weekend in Anaheim California. The semi-annual event is held every 2 years and has become notoriously known for big announcements.
A lot of promises were made during the 2022 event, with little to no updates since then. There was big talk of a Villains land in Magic Kingdom and expansions at Disneyland. But it also came with a lot of caveats. The things being talked about were Blue Sky – a term the
It was all possible, but didn’t seem all that probable. At Disneyland the entire expansion rested on the city of Anaheim deciding whether or not to approve a re-zoning request known as Disneyland Forward.
You could say tensions were high leading up to this year’s Parks and Experiences panel. (Which for some reason was only streamed inside of Fortnite?)

Pandora: The World of Avatar
Talk about a new version of Animal Kingdom‘s most popular land started all the way back in 2023. Since then there have been announcements and rumors that this could be a small walk through experience, a virtual experience, or a temporary exhibit. Until concept art for the new land was released back in April of this year.
Well it’s been officially confirmed with
Avenger’s Campus Expansion
Meanwhile you’ll get a chance to live out all your super hero dreams with two new attractions coming to Avenger’s campus. The previously announced King Thanos themed ride will officially be the Infinity Defense.
What’s even more exciting is the second ride, which was completely unexpected. The themed land is currently home to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Space and WEBslingers. Meaning the campus will nearly double in size with a total of 4 attractions with the opening of Tony Stark’s Flight Simulator.
Great Moments with Walt Disney
A brand new audio animatronic is coming to Disneyland and it’s the first of it’s kind – Walt

Coco Coming to California
Disney’s California Adventure will finally have it’s own indoor boat ride, featuring the colorful characters from 2017’s Coco. This isn’t the first time these characters have made appearances though.
Miguel celebrates the season of Dias de los Muertos during the fall at Paradise Gardens Park. And the evil Ernesto can be caught spooking park goers at this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash.
Work on this new attraction will begin in 2026. We don’t know yet when it will be complete, but one thing’s for sure is that it will be full of music and magic.
