Changes are coming to New Orleans Square this Fall! Disneyland will be celebrating the grand opening of Tiana’s Palace on September 7, 2023!
The new quick-service eatery takes over the location previously known as The French Market, just outside of the Haunted Mansion, and will offer mobile ordering. Guests will be able to enjoy their Lousiana-inspired dishes under the shade of large yellow awnings while seated at green and cream-colored cushioned iron patio sets. The oversized brick facade will feature wrought iron metal work, glowing string lights, and a large lit sign reading “Tiana’s Palace.”
Inside dining is also available with the building interior showcasing a large mural of the bayou. Here you’ll also find a number of props, accessories, and decor reminiscent of The Princess and The Frog film, from Tiana’s personal cookbooks to porcelain frogs. I wonder if Disney has worked out how to turn them into a prince as part of the show!
The full menu will be released in the coming weeks, but we know that it will feature dishes inspired by the film and Creole culture. Beignets will be back, and we suspect to see Gumbo make an appearance as well.
This is the first of several attractions inspired by The Princess and the Frog coming to Disney parks over the next 2 years, as we await the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.
We’ll be there at Tiana’s Palace opening week to try out everything on the menu, so stay tuned for our review and subscribe below so you never miss a thing.
