Brew Wing Lab – Epcot Food and Wine Festival Booth

A new booth for 2023 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival., Brew Wing Lab is bringing some exciting offerings. The concept for the booth is experimental food. You’re sure to find some interesting options here including the infamous Pickle Milkshake.

A vibrant green pickle milkshake sits between two additional dishes. The additional dishes are Buffalo Brussels Sprouts and Buffalo Impossible Tenders, each are served in a brown cardboard bowl.

Location and Atmosphere at Brew Wing Lab

You can find the Brew Wing Lab inside the Odyssey event’s pavilion, between World Discovery and the Mexico Pavilion. This is one of the few booths at The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival that provides indoor seating.

And thank goodness for that, because a pickle milkshake without air conditioning sounds so much worse.

The booth was initially marketed by Disney as hosting characters from the Muppets, which was a generating a ton of excitement. There were theories about which characters would be there, and how they would be presented.

Disney later clarified and ultimately we got a pretty shallow Muppets theming. Inside the main dining area the walls are adorned with signs and lighting similar to a lab. My favorite is the sign that reads “00 minutes since last accident.”

A screen show featuring Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker takes place every 15 minutes. There are a few different versions which make it hard to leave! I want to see them all!

Menu at Brew Wing Lab

The real star of the show at Brew Wing Lab, of course, is the food and drinks! You can find some of the most creative, and adventurous, dishes from the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival here.

From spicey, yet tasty, Scotch Bonnet Wings to Peanut Butter and Jelly Wings to multiple plant-based options. Epcot Brew Wing Lab is a must-so stop at the festival.

Impossible Buffalo Tenders

The Impossible Buffalo Tenders at Brew Wing Lab offer a good level of spice and a convincing texture. I was actually a little freaked out about how close these were to the real thing! The sauce is flavorful and buttery, with a mild spice.

It’s certainly a great option for anyone looking to avoid meat or dairy, but otherwise it’s pretty standard fare.

Buffalo Brussel Sprouts

Slightly more exciting are the Buffalo Brussel Sprouts. These babies were fried up, drenched in buffalo sauce, and slathered in blue cheese dressing. The caramelization and charring on the brussels eliminated the bitter flavor they can sometimes have.

Buffalo is the predominate taste here, unless you get a bit with some blue cheese on it. The blue cheese was actually a bit overwhelming for me, but I’m not much of a fan in the first place.

They’re a fun way to sneak some vegetables into an otherwise snacktastic day. A good choice for anyone who likes either buffalo sauce or brussel sprouts.

Pickle Milkshake

The real star of the menu is the Pickle Milkshake. It sounds like a dish they created using a random food generator. Who thinks of this stuff?

This is a sweet treat that you just can’t miss. It’s not good or bad, but it’s definitely interesting. The predominant flavor is vanilla, with a strong hint of dill. I was expecting a more acidic or vinegar flavor but it just wasn’t there.

The Pickle Milkshake is not one of my fav’s from the fest, but it does make for an interesting story.

Final Thoughts about Brew Wing Lab

The Epcot Brew Wing Lab is sure to be a new classic for the International Food and Wine Festival. There are so many exciting and unique flavor combinations, it’s one booth you shouldn’t miss. It’s also a fantastic place to take a break if you just need somewhere to escape the heat.
