Why You Should Use a Travel Agent on Your Next Disney Vacation

Have you ever thought about using a travel agent for your Disney trip? Did you know that you could use a travel agent to book your trip? Look, Disney, especially Disney World, is a big undertaking! There’s multiple parks, multiple hotels, fastpasses, dining reservations, and more! Is your head spinning yet? And if you will be traveling with a group, you might have to consider multiple rooms and figure out which rides are going to keep everyone happy. If all that sounds like a dream come true for you, than this guide might be for you. But if you’re starting to question if it’s even worth it, stick around and I’ll tell you how a travel agent (like me) can make the whole process a breeze.

They’re Knowledgeable

Here’s the thing about travel agents, we’re obsessed! Most of us visited Disney parks so many times we’ve lost count, and when we’re not in the parks we’re researching them! Or in my case, writing about them. We know the benefits of each resort and which restaurant is ideal for a family of 6 with a 3 year old daughter. We live and breathe this stuff. If you’re not sure where to start with planning your trip, or even if you can afford a trip, we’ve got your back! A travel agent is available to answer any questions you have and take care of the planning for you.

They’ll Get you the Best Deal

Oh yes. We’ll get you rates and deals you didn’t even know about! If Disney announces a discount that works for your trip, we’ll make sure they apply it. If free dining comes out for your dates, we’ll apply it. We stalk Disney news and are constantly on the lookout for the best new deals. We want you to have a great trip and you shouldn’t have to pay a penny more than absolutely necessary!

Giftcards and Credits

Maybe you’re just as obsessed as your travel agent and you can find those deals all your own. There’s still another perk; free stuff. A lot of agencies include incentives to book with them such as gift cards or on board credits. Now, not everyone does this and those that do don’t do it all the time. But it’s a nice surprise to receive!

They do the Hard Work

One of the biggest perks about using a TA is that you can tell us what you want and forget about it. When you’re staying at Disney World you can book FastPass+ 60 days from your arrival date, and make dining reservations 180 days out. And if you’re a morning person, you can get up bright and early to try and snag that elusive Flight of Passage FastPass or Be Our Guest reservation. OR we’ll do it for you! And if there’s ever any changes that need to be made, we’ll sit on hold and deal with Disney so you can get back to everything else going on in life.

It’s Free

Oh ya! You’d think having a knowledgeable Disney vacation servant would be expensive right? Nope, using a travel agent is 100% free for you. Even if you need a day to day to-do list in the parks, or plans to beat the lines while you’re there. See, we make our money direct from the mouse himself. So there’s really no reason not to use  travel agent!

You’re Supporting Small Business

Travel agents are independent contractors, which means we get to be our own boss! It’s great, but it also means we only get paid when you go on vacation. A great number of TA’s are stay at home moms looking for some supplemental income, or extra income when their traditional job can’t pay the bills, or part of a military family that moves all the time – which is not very conducive to a day job.

It’s Flexible

We can do as much or as little as you want. Hey! I’m a control freak about my vacation too, spreadsheets for days! So if all you need is someone to book your trip, or deal with problems, or just to talk with about how excited you are- we’re happy to oblige! Your travel agent can do everything, but they don’t have to unless you want that level of service.

So you see, whether you book with me or anyone else, there’s really no reason to not use a travel agent on your next Disney vacation.
