Welcome to Paradise Gardens Park at California Adventure, where breathtaking views, thrilling attractions, and delectable dining options await you! Whether you’re a die-hard
Exciting Attractions
Paradise Gardens Park is home to some of my favorite attractions at California Adventure. Of course, that may not be saying much since nearly every attraction in DCA is a winner. In this area of the park you’ll find attractions fit for the whole family, most are suitable for kids and kids at heart.
Goofy’s Fly School
A crazy mouse style family coaster in the skies above
Adventure of the Little Mermaid
Jump into the middle of The Little Mermaid with this dark ride nestled near Grizzly River Run. Suitable for all ages, this gentle omni mover ride guides you through multiple scenes directly from the movie. Venture to Ariel’s grotto and see her new dinglehopper or dance along under the sea.
Jumpin’ Jellyfish
Board a jellyfish all your own and take off with Jumpin’ Jellyfish in Paradise Gardens Park at
Golden Zephyr
A classic boardwalk attraction, the Golden Zephyr takes guests to new heights! Board your sparkling ride vehicle and enjoy that California breeze as you glide around Paradise Gardens. Enjoy stunning views of Paradise Bay and Pixar pier while you luxuriate on this mellow adventure. Lines are normally very short, however this attraction does have a tendency to be down several times throughout the day.
Silly Symphony Swings
On the far side of the area, near the Incredicoaster, you’ll find Silly Symphony Swings. Do not let it’s innocent name and fantastical exterior lull you into a sense of security, this one will sneak up on you. Pick a swing and kick your feet up as you swirl and twirl around Paradise Bay – if you dare.
Delectable Dining Options
After all that excitement, you’re sure to be hungry. Luckily, Paradise Gardens has plenty of dining options to satisfy your cravings.
Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
If you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is the place to go. This dining spot offers hearty dishes and family favorites, perfect for a satisfying meal. From pepperonis to pepperoncinis, with vegetarian and vegan options in between. Of all the food at the Disneyland resort a visit just isn’t complete, for me, without the Chicken Sun-dried Tomato Pesto pasta – d’lish.
Paradise Garden Grill
For a taste of Mexico, try the Paradise Garden Grill. This dining spot offers flavorful dishes inspired by the region, including flautas, elote, and tacos. Both Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta are located in a large outdoor dining area. There is plenty of seating in the sun and shade, and musicians are always out playing live music. It gets lively over here in the late afternoon so be sure to stop by and enjoy the atmosphere!
Corn Dog Castle
Home to the infamous cheese on a stick, Corn Dog Castle is a quick take away option in the area. The offerings are limited but may be just the ticket if you have a picky eater in your bunch. Or if you need a bite in a pinch.
Entertainment and Live Performances
No visit to Paradise Gardens is complete without seeing one of the park’s live performances. From the World of Color to the Paradise Garden Bandstand, there’s something for every music and entertainment fan.
World of Color
For a spectacular nighttime show, check out the World of Color. This water, light, and music show is a fan favorite, featuring stunning visuals and
Paradise Garden Bandstand
You can catch live music throughout the day at the Paradise Garden Bandstand. This small stage is nestled between Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, where you can grab a delicious bite to eat and enjoy the atmosphere from the band. Great place to take a quick break and drink in that
Operation: Playtime! – Featuring the Green Army Patrol
Toy Story lovers get ready, because the little green men are coming for you! The toy Army soldiers that is. You’ll find them during this brief cavalcade alongside Paradise Bay, equipment for drum roll and looking to recruit. Check the Disneyland app, or times guide, and get your camera ready!
Shopping for Beachside Treasures
If you’re looking for souvenirs and gifts, Paradise Gardens has plenty of options. From Pixar collectibles to park memorabilia, there’s something for every taste and budget.
Knick’s Knacks
For exclusive Pixar merchandise and collectibles, check out Knick’s Knacks. This shop offers unique gifts for movie lovers, from plush toys to art prints. Be sure to take home a piece of Pixar magic!
Seaside Souvenirs
For more general park souvenirs, Seaside Souvenirs is the place to go. This shop offers Paradise Gardens and California Adventure memorabilia, from t-shirts to keychains. Be sure to pick up a fun souvenir to remember your visit!
Charming Photo Opportunities
Finally, no visit to Paradise Gardens is complete without taking some fun and memorable photos.
View of Paradise Bay
For a stunning scenic photo, head to one of the park’s waterfront vistas. The view of Paradise Bay is particularly breathtaking, especially at sunset. Be sure to bring your camera and capture the moment!
Seasonal Events and Celebrations
Finally, be sure to check out Paradise Gardens during one of the park’s seasonal events and celebrations. From the Festival of Holidays to the Lunar New Year Celebration, there’s always something fun and festive happening at Paradise Gardens.
Tips and Tricks for a Picture-Perfect Day
Paradise Gardens Park is a remote area in the back of California Adventure, and one of the best places to spend the afternoon. Queue times for attractions in this area are nearly non-existent. Ariel’s Undersea Adventure may creep up to 30 minutes on a particularly busy day, but it’s not a common occurrence. There are multiple areas to sit and relax, people watching and enjoy a quick snack. The iconic views of Paradise Bay cannot be beat! And this is prime booth real estate during the California Adventure Food and Wine Festival.
The area surrounding Paradise Bay will start to get busy as early as 4pm, when guests begin lining up to catch World of Color. This water based nighttime spectacular is truly breathtaking and a must do for any Disneyland trip, but you’ll need to join the virtual queue in the morning.
Have you visited Parade Gardens Park at
