With park reservations, Genie+, and Lightening Lanes – planning and preparation are more important to your <keyword data-keyword-id="2190">Disney</keyword> trip than ever. And that includes dining reservations. Where there’s a will there’s a way, but the first step to securing those coveted spots is to make a wish list.

How Do <keyword data-keyword-id="2191">Disney</keyword> Dining Reservations Work?

Disney World is home to four different service types:

Quick Service – or takeaway. Place your order with a cashier, or on the mobile app, and pick it up at the counter window

Table Service – you’ll be seated at a table inside of the dining location. A server will come to take your order, bring out your meal, and help answer any questions you might have

Character Dining – similar to Table Service, but characters will be roaming the restaurant and greeting guests

Signature Dining – includes all aspects of Table Service but at upscale (fancy) locations such as California Grill or Victoria and Albert

While you can walk up to a quick service location at any time during operating hours – table service, character and signature dining all require reservations.

And these are some of the best dining options at <keyword data-keyword-id="2192">Disney</keyword> World, so you won’t want to miss them.

When to Book <keyword data-keyword-id="2193">Disney</keyword> Dining Reservations

Dining reservations open at 6:00am ET, 60 days in advance, for all park guests. Park reservations are recommended, but not required.

Those staying on property at a <keyword data-keyword-id="2194">Disney</keyword> World resort, or select nearby locations, are able to book reservations for the entire length of their stay 60 days before their arrival. If you are staying at a <keyword data-keyword-id="2195">Disney</keyword> hotel from April 1 – 10, you would be able to book reservations for the entire trip beginning on January 25th.

This effectively allows you to book 70 days in advance. Giving you a 10 day advantage over non-resort guests. Talk about an onsite benefit!

Tips and Tools for Securing Dining Reservations

Which brings us to our next tip:

Book Backwards

Take full advantage of this resort guest benefit by planning your most in-demand reservations at the end of your trip.

You’ll have a better chance of booking what you want, and after a few days in <keyword data-keyword-id="2196">Disney</keyword> World a sit down meal at a nice restaurant is going to sound even better.

There’s just no better way to cap off a trip than the rooftop firework viewing at California Grill.

Mark It On Your Calendar

As soon as you know you are going to <keyword data-keyword-id="2197">Disney</keyword> World, mark your calendar with the date that you can make your dining reservations.

There are so many moving parts and pieces in planning a vacation, especially to <keyword data-keyword-id="2198">Disney</keyword> World. It’s easy to forget something and miss the chance or a lifetime visiting Victoria and Albert.

Setting a reminder in your calendar, with a notification, will ensure you are up and online when the clock strikes 6am.

Use Your Travel Agent

It might come as a surprise but anytime you book a <keyword data-keyword-id="2199">Disney</keyword> stay, you’re paying for a travel agent. Whether you are using one or not, the cost is already built into the price of your trip.

Now, there are lot’s of reasons to consider using a travel agent. It’s free, they’re job is literally to know everything about <keyword data-keyword-id="2200">Disney</keyword>. But one of the best reasons is to avoid waking up at the crack of dawn to make dining reservations.

ADR’s open at 6:00am eastern. That’s 3:00am on the west coast, and midnight (or 1:00am) in Hawaii. Get a travel agent, sleep in, and secure top tier reservations to your favorite restaurants.

Notification Apps

My favorite thing about the internet is how easily creative and cunning folks can share their creations. Which is why we love the Mouse Dining webapp.

Mouse Dining receives information from the <keyword data-keyword-id="2201">Disney</keyword> World website to display up to the minute data about dining reservations. Simply pick the restaurant you’re interested in and view a complete calendar of availability.

Don’t see the date and time you’re looking for? Not to worry, just set an alert to receive an email when something opens up. This is a great way to secure last minute reservations.

Popular Dining Spots at <keyword data-keyword-id="2202">Disney</keyword> World

But where will you use all this new found knowledge? Nothing could be worse than going through the work only to have a disappointing experience that let’s you down. And trust me, it happens. Just look at our Rose and Crown dining review.

Break out that bucket list because here are the most in-demand dining reservations at <keyword data-keyword-id="2203">Disney</keyword> World

Victoria and Albert is the only Michelin star rated location on <keyword data-keyword-id="2204">Disney</keyword> property

California Grill Dinner located on the top floor of the contemporary, guests dining during the Magic Kingdom fireworks are able to access a rooftop viewing area. It’s the show of a lifetime, just don’t look down!

Ohana located in the Polynesian resort, near Magic Kingdom. Famous for their noodles and bread pudding. Infamous for the Stitch character breakfast.

Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a very upscale experience. Everything here is delicious, but the mac and cheese is so good it had to be brought back by popular demand after being briefly removed from the menu.

Crystal Palace Breakfast Magic Kingdom’s signature character breakfast features friends from the Hundred Acre Woods including Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Rabbit.

Takumi Tei service a (pricey) prix fix menu, you will feel like you have teleported to Japan and not just the pavilion.

Monsieur Paul Epcot is home to a litany of amazing dining options, but this location in the France pavilion may take the cake.

Tusker House this Animal Kingdom classic is a favorite among guests young of all ages.

Sanaa you might go for the bread service, but you’re going to come back for the butter chicken.

Round-Up Rodeo BBQ an all you care to eat family style BBQ in the middle of Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land. There’s even a full plant-based prix fix option, yum!

Be Our Guest a wish list requirement for fans of Beauty and the Beast. Dine here to be transported to the Beast’s castle. You can even eat in the East Wing.

What to Know

It’s important to mention that a credit card is required to secure all dining reservations. And, missing a reservation could cost you $20 per person on the reservation.

Dining reservations can be modified and canceled up to 2 hours before you’re scheduled arrival time. Reservations are typically held for 15-20 minutes, in case you are running late. So the risk of missing your window is slim.

Disney World is full of amazing entertainment, rides, and festivals. But failing to plan some epic eats along the way, is planning to fail my friends. We absolutely love a mid-day dining break, or a fancy feast to end a trip.

In this post, we’ll dig into how the rebel spy is chosen. We’ll also cover some of the most asked questions about the ride. If you love Star Wars or just enjoy a good theme park adventure, stick around. We might just help you become the next rebel spy on your visit to Star Tours.

What is the Star Tours Rebel Spy?

When you buckle up for Star Tours, you’re not just a passenger; you’re part of the action. But one person gets an extra special role: the rebel spy. This isn’t something you sign up for; it’s a surprise, chosen as the ride starts. The rebel spy is the center of the story, helping the rebels on their mission.

You might wonder, what makes being the rebel spy so special? For starters, it’s a unique experience. Only one person is picked each ride. If it’s you, your face is displayed for all to see as the character helping the rebels escape. It’s a moment of fame in a galaxy far, far away. Plus, it’s a fun story to tell friends and family.

Being chosen adds a layer of excitement to the Star Tours adventure. It makes your ride experience different from the rest. Everyone wants to be chosen, but there’s no clear way to guarantee it. Or is there? In the next section, we’ll explore how spies are picked and share some tips you might try on your next visit.

How is the Rebel Spy Selected?

When it comes be chosen as the Rebel Spy, you need to understand how someone gets picked. There’s plenty of theories out there from complete randomization to which seat you have.

But the truth is that the rebel spy is selected by the cast member operating the ride. Yup! Between when guests are being seated and the ride beginning, a group photo is taken. a CM nearby reviews each guest and looks for standouts.

How fun would it be to make guests dream come true all day – color me jealous! Now there are some criteria when it comes to selecting the spy, so these are our best tips

Sit Still Facing Forward

The face of the rebel spy is projected onto the ride screen for everyone in your vehicle to see. And with <keyword data-keyword-id="2149">Disney</keyword>‘s high standards for quality – they can’t use a picture that isn’t perfect.

So, to avoid a picture that’s blurry or just shows the top of your head while your stowing your items below the seat. Face the screen and try not to move around too much.

Craft an Amazing Face for the Cast Members

As long as the photo is clear and the guest is facing front – the cast member can choose whoever they want. So give them a bit of entertainment, make it impossible for them not to notice you – in a good way.

Making subtle silly faces seems to work best. Anything too over the top and you won’t get picked. But a grumpy face, or a dis-interested face, someone who looks super enthused – these are the type that get chosen.

Celebration Buttons

If you’ve ever been to <keyword data-keyword-id="2150">Disney</keyword> for a special occasion you might know the magic of the celebration buttons. They’re big, colorful buttons filled out by cast members that you can grab at various locations around the <keyword data-keyword-id="2151">Disney</keyword> parks and resorts.

You can a generic button that says “I’m celebrating” and the cast member will write in whatever you ask. But it’s the specialized buttons like “Happily Ever After” for weddings and anniversaries or “Happy Birthday” for, you guessed it, birthdays. Wearing one of these at the parks are pure Pixie Dust.

Cast members want to make your day special. They want to celebrate along with you. So, if you’ve got a button display it proud on Star Tours for an even better chance to be the rebel spy.

Ask a Cast Member

Sometimes the best way to get what you want is just to ask for it. Don’t be afraid to ask a nearby cast member how to be selected, or if you can be selected.

There’s certainly no guarantee that they can make it happen, but the worst they can tell you is “no!”

Best Tricks to Ride Star Tours The Adventure Continues

Star Tours opened at 1987 in Disneyland, and 1989 in Hollywood Studios at <keyword data-keyword-id="2152">Disney</keyword> World. But nearly 40 years later (literally, how?) it’s still a major attraction in the <keyword data-keyword-id="2153">Disney</keyword> parks. With wait times often between 45 and 90 minutes.

And with new adventures debuting at the attraction, the queue will be longer than ever. Here are our favorite tricks to minimize the wait and maximize the experience.

Disneyland

Located just past the main entrance to Tomorrowland, across from Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. Star Tours is especially popular at Disneyland with consistent wait times throughout the day. We’ve found the best times to ride are before noon and after 8:00pm.

Star Tours is on the Genie+ system and Lightening Lanes are commonly available to book until 6:00pm. Though that will give you a return window between 8:00pm and 9:00pm, cutting it pretty close.

Hollywood Studios

It’s a little bit easier to skip the line for Star Tours at Hollywood Studios. The longest waits occur during late morning and early afternoon. Your best bets for standby are before 10:00am, during rope drop, or after 2:00pm.

Lightening Lanes are usually available to book through 6:00pm, but again this will give you a late return time. Hollywood Studios is home to some of the most thrilling attractions at <keyword data-keyword-id="2154">Disney</keyword> World – as well as some of the longest lines. We’d recommend prioritizing more of the headliner attractions for Lightening Lanes and using the Star Tours Standby line in the mid afternoon. We’ve got a full guide to Genie+ at Hollywood Studios for more information.

In 2024, the benefits of choosing <keyword data-keyword-id="1950">Disney</keyword> property accommodations are more enchanting than ever.

So, let’s take on a magic carpet ride to explore why staying inside the heart of the magic is a great decision for your <keyword data-keyword-id="1951">Disney</keyword> adventure!

Complimentary Transportaion

Visiting <keyword data-keyword-id="1952">Disney</keyword> World can get very expensive, very quickly. After booking flights, tickets, car rental, and hotel rooms – the costs start to stack up. Which is why we love the multitude of FREE transportation around the <keyword data-keyword-id="1953">Disney</keyword> World Resort.

Even though these options offer service directly to the hotels.
Skyliner

The most controversial and divisive option to travel around <keyword data-keyword-id="1957">Disney</keyword> World is the Skyliner. These gondolas in the sky began operation in 2019, and are truly an attraction of their own.

But these are high up in the sky, and some guests have reported being a bit shaken up by the adventure.

Early Morning Entry

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Animal-Kingdom-Tree-of-Life-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="Visitors strolling towards the majestic Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom, taking advantage of the low crowd levels during early park entry, a benefit reserved for Disney World resort guests.
Rope drop ready! Staying at a <keyword data-keyword-id="1958">Disney</keyword> World resort gets you into any <keyword data-keyword-id="1959">Disney</keyword> park 30 minutes early. That’s plenty of time to get to the front of the line at your favorite attraction.

Advanced Dining Reservations

While the parks are famous for their immersive experiences, character meets, and attractions. <keyword data-keyword-id="1960">Disney</keyword> in infamous for it’s dining. There’s even an entire festival celebrating food and wine at Epcot.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Animal-Kingdom-Lodge-Lobby-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="The grand lobby of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, bathed in natural light, showcases the resort's striking African-inspired décor, from the towering thatched roof to the intricate chandeliers.
Among the many dining locations not to be missed, are spectacular table service restaurants. Global cuisine from locations like Sanaa allow you to try new dishes, while the Michelin rated Victoria and Albert provide a taste of elegance.

Guests staying at a <keyword data-keyword-id="1961">Disney</keyword> World Resort however, can make reservations for the duration of their stay (up to 10 days) starting 60 days from their check in date. That means you could book dining reservations 70 days in advance. Giving you a HUGE advantage.

Disney Dining Plan

The <keyword data-keyword-id="1962">Disney</keyword> Dining Plan is back in 2024, and it could save you a ton of money. Ordinarily we would not recommend paying for the <keyword data-keyword-id="1963">Disney</keyword> Dining Plan, unless you are looking for an all inclusive vacation.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Caseys-Corner-Chicago-Dog-Plant-Based-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="A vibrant close-up of a plant-based Chicago-style hot dog from Casey's Corner, topped with a rainbow of fresh vegetables and a drizzle of mustard, served on a classic soft bun.
The package pricing is simply not enticing and can very often cost more than if you had purchased meals outright. But several times a year <keyword data-keyword-id="1964">Disney</keyword> offers complimentary dining plans to guests, which can save you hundreds of dollars.

It’s one of the deals you can find, if you’re looking to save money on your next trip.

Genie+ Advantage

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Slinky-Dog-Dash-Go-Launch-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="Thrill-seekers experience the joy of Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with the coaster's bright red track and the iconic 'GO!' sign at the launch point set against a brilliant blue sky with fluffy clouds.
If you’re visiting <keyword data-keyword-id="1965">Disney</keyword> for the rides, you’ll probably want to try Genie+. <keyword data-keyword-id="1966">Disney</keyword>‘s newest service to skip the lines allows you to book return windows for select attractions around the parks.

But those staying at the <keyword data-keyword-id="1969">Disney</keyword> World hotels can start booking at 7:00 AM, a full 2 hours early for most parks.
Savvy resort guests know, stacking Genie+ reservations from the pool is the way to go.

Extra Magic Hours

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="793" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Tron-Lightcycle-Run-at-Night-Fast-Action-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt='Guests are immersed in the electrifying ambiance of TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom, with its futuristic blue canopy glowing overhead.
Possibly the biggest perk of staying on site at a <keyword data-keyword-id="1970">Disney</keyword> World hotel are the Extra Magic Hours. Unfortunately, this is only available to guests staying at Deluxe resorts or participating partner locations.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Magic-Kingdom-Extended-Evening-Hours-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="The iconic Partners statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse stands in the foreground, with the illuminated Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom creating a mesmerizing backdrop in the night.
For those who do though, Extra Magic Hours can be a vacation game changer. This perk allows guests to stay and play up to 3 hours after park close.

Not every park is available every day, however so be sure to check park hours for your trip. Additionally, guests will need to have an applicable day-time ticket for the park.

Extra Magic Hours are glorious. Experience lower crowds than rope drop, and walk on waits for some of your favorite rides. AND get access to a third virtual queue drop at 6:00pm.

Amenities and Activities

All resort guests can enjoy a breadth of amenities and activities at their resort. Each on-property hotel is home to, at least, 1 quick service location. Moderate and Deluxe hotels will also have a selection of table service dining and some even have a buffet!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="698" height="1024" src="https://thepixiedustedplanner.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/All-Star-Sports-Activitty-Board-Benefits-of-Staying-on-Property-at-Disney-World.jpg" alt="A bright and informative activity board at Disney's All Star Sports Resort outlines the fun-filled September recreation activities available to guests, including a wellness scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, and movie nights under the stars.
Plus there are tons of things to do around your hotel for non-park days. From outdoor movies and campfire smore’s, to making friendship bracelets and Christmas ornaments. You could spend a week in one of <keyword data-keyword-id="1971">Disney</keyword> World’s hotels and never get bored.

Frontierland stands as a testament to the spirit of adventure and the allure of the Wild West, making it a must-visit destination for thrill-seekers, history enthusiasts, and <keyword data-keyword-id="1912">Disney</keyword> lovers alike. The sights, sounds, and smells transport you to an era where cowboys and pioneers roamed free. But before we set off on this thrilling exploration, we’re eager to hear your stories! What memories do you cherish from Frontierland? Drop a comment below and share your favorite Frontierland experiences with us.

History of Frontierland

Since Disneyland Park first opened its gates in 1955, Frontierland has been captivating guests with its depiction of the rugged and romanticized Wild West. Envisioned by Walt <keyword data-keyword-id="1913">Disney</keyword> himself, this land was crafted to whisk visitors away to the era of pioneers, saloons, and untamed frontiers. Over the years, Frontierland has evolved, adding new attractions and stories, yet it has faithfully preserved its core, remaining a crowd-favorite for generations of <keyword data-keyword-id="1914">Disney</keyword> goers.

Rides and Attractions

Frontierland boasts a diverse array of attractions, each offering a unique slice of adventure and excitement:

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Let’s dive in and start planning your perfect day at Disneyland Park!

Arriving Early and Rope Dropping

What is Rope Drop?

Not a crowd in sight on this rope drop morning!

Rope drop is the moment when Disneyland Park officially opens its gates for the day. Guests are usually allowed to enter the park around 30 minutes before the official opening time, gathering near a “rope” that prevents access to the individual lands. Once the park officially opens, the rope is dropped, and guests can start enjoying the attractions.

Key Benefits of Rope Drop

Shorter wait times: Many attractions have shorter wait times during the first hour of park opening, allowing you to experience more rides with minimal waiting.

Access to popular attractions: Rope drop provides an opportunity to experience popular attractions, like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, without long lines.

A calmer park atmosphere: The park is generally less crowded in the early morning, making it a pleasant time to explore and take photos.

How Long Does Rope Drop Last?

Rope drop typically lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half after the park officially opens. However, the actual duration can vary depending the season, day of the week, and park capacity. During this coveted window of opportunity, wait times for attractions are significantly shorter, and the overall park atmosphere is more relaxed.

As the morning progresses, you’ll notice the crowds increasing, with wait times for popular attractions getting longer. To make the most of this limited-time opportunity, it’s essential to arrive at the park well before the official opening time and have a game plan in mind. Prioritize the attractions you want to experience during rope drop and map out the most efficient route to maximize your time.

Ride Priorities for Rope Drop

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

This popular attraction is a must-do during rope drop. It’s an innovative, trackless dark ride featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The queue tends to fill up quickly, so head here first to minimize your wait time. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is still extremely new – the latest ride to open at Disneyland, and will be busy throughout the day.

E-Ticket Attractions

These are the most popular and thrilling attractions in the park, including:

Space Mountain: A classic indoor roller coaster through outer space.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: The wildest ride in the wilderness!

Peter Pan’s Flight

Fly over Neverland with Peter Pan and Wendy. This queue will inexplicably be over an hour for most of the day. It’s an adorable ride that kids (of all ages) will absolutely adore, but the queue is tight with lots of switchbacks out in the sun. Definitely one to knock out of the way early in the day.

Rides to Avoid at Rope Drop

Just as there are some attractions that are best to visit during the first few hours of a park day. There are those, or rather one, that you’ll want to avoid.

Rise of the Resistance

Everyone and their second cousin will be rope dropping Rise of the Resistance. In actuality mornings are the busiest time at this attraction, because everyone is trying to get there first. It is an amazing, jaw dropping, ride that you absolutely need to experience at least once. But, rope drop isn’t the right time.

Key Benefits of Genie+

Save time: Genie+ allows you to skip long standby lines, maximizing your time in the park.

Plan ahead: You can reserve access to attractions throughout the day, helping you structure your day efficiently.

Tips for Using Genie+ as Part of Your Day Strategy at Disneyland

Genie+ is a fantastic tool for maximizing your time at Disneyland Park. When used effectively, it can significantly reduce wait times and help you experience more attractions throughout your visit. Here are some tips for incorporating Genie+ into your day at Disneyland:

1. Aim for reservations later in the afternoon or evening

This strategy can be particularly useful for attractions that tend to have the longest wait times during these peak hours. By booking your Genie+ reservations for popular attractions in the afternoon and evening, you can bypass long standby lines and make the most of your time at the park.

2. Stack as many reservations as possible

Take advantage of the Genie+ system by booking your reservations as soon as you’re eligible for the next one. Stacking allows you to secure multiple Lightning Lane entrances throughout the day, cutting down on wait times and ensuring you get to experience more attractions. To do this effectively, keep an eye on the Disneyland app and make sure you’re aware of when your next reservation window opens up.

3. Optimize your reservations with overlapping windows

When selecting Genie+ reservations, look for opportunities to create overlapping windows. For example, if your first reservation is at 11:00 AM and has a return window of 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, you might be able to book a second reservation for 12:15 PM. This strategy allows you to move seamlessly from one attraction to the next with minimal downtime. Just make sure the overlapping attractions are near to one another.

4. Don’t be afraid to book a reservation for the end of the night, even if you won’t be there

Securing a Genie+ reservation for a popular attraction at the end of the night can be a savvy strategy. This approach ensures that you have a guaranteed spot on the ride without the pressure of being there at a specific time earlier in the day. If you decide not to stay until park closing, you can simply release the reservation back into the system for others to book.

Pro Tip: Plans change during the day for you – and everyone else! If you’ve booked a Lightening Lane for later than you’d like, check the app often as someone may cancel their reservation.

5. Modify or cancel reservations as needed

Flexibility is key when using Genie+ effectively. Don’t be afraid to modify or cancel your reservations if your plans change throughout the day. This can help you adapt to changing crowd levels, showtimes, or other factors that may impact your park itinerary.

By implementing these tips and staying proactive in managing your Genie+ reservations, you can optimize your Disneyland Park experience and make the most of every magical moment.

Ride Priorities for Genie+

Lightning Lanes

Rise of the Resistance is a highly sought-after Star Wars-themed attraction also offers a separate Lightning Lane pass for purchase. Chances of riding without a Lightning Lane pass are slim, so purchasing it is highly recommended.

Planning for Down Times

Taking breaks and enjoying downtime throughout the day not only helps you recharge and stay energized but also allows you to fully appreciate the park’s atmosphere and non-ride experiences. Allocating time for relaxation and exploration can make your Disneyland Park visit even more magical and memorable.

Shows and Atmosphere

Disneyland Park offers a fantastic array of live shows, street performers, and atmospheric music. Be sure to take the time to enjoy performances like The Dapper Dans barbershop quartet on Main Street, USA. And do not miss the “Magic Happens” parade – one of <keyword data-keyword-id="1907">Disney</keyword>‘s best!

Dining

Downtime presents the perfect opportunity to sample the park’s diverse dining options. From sit-down restaurants such as the Blue Bayou or the Plaza Inn, to quick-service eateries like Bengal Barbecue or Red Rose Taverne, there’s a delicious option for every palate. Don’t forget to indulge in some iconic Disneyland treats, like churros, Dole Whips, or Mickey-shaped beignets.

Non-Ride Attractions and Exhibits

Take the time to explore the park’s many non-ride attractions and exhibits that offer a different type of <keyword data-keyword-id="1908">Disney</keyword> magic. Visit The Adventureland Treehouse for a high-flying adventure, step back in time at the Main Street Cinema, or take a relaxing tour of the park aboard the Disneyland Railroad. These experiences allow you to slow down and appreciate the intricate details and storytelling that make Disneyland so special.

Leaving the Parks

If you’re up for it, consider taking a break by leaving the park for a few hours and returning later in the evening. This strategy can help you avoid the busiest times of the day, as well as provide an opportunity to rest and recharge. You might visit the nearby Downtown <keyword data-keyword-id="1909">Disney</keyword> District for shopping and dining, or even return to your hotel for a quick nap or a swim. When you return to the park, you’ll be refreshed and ready to make the most of the evening’s entertainment and attractions.

Prioritizing Attractions Based on Interests

Every group visiting Disneyland Park has unique interests and preferences, making it essential to prioritize attractions based on what will make your day most enjoyable. To create a customized itinerary that caters to your group’s interests, consider factors such as thrill level, accessibility, and age-appropriateness.

Thrill Level

Disneyland Park offers a wide range of attractions that cater to different thrill levels, from gentle experiences to adrenaline-pumping adventures. Discuss with your group which types of rides they prefer and prioritize those experiences. For thrill-seekers, prioritize attractions like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, or Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! (located in <keyword data-keyword-id="1910">Disney</keyword> California Adventure Park). If your group prefers more moderate or gentle experiences, focus on attractions such as “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Jungle Cruise.

Accessibility

When planning your day, consider the accessibility needs of your group. Disneyland Park offers many attractions with wheelchair or mobility device accessibility, as well as accommodations for guests with visual or auditory disabilities. Research the accessibility options for each attraction on the Disneyland website or app and prioritize those that best meet your group’s needs.

Age-Appropriateness

Disneyland Park caters to guests of all ages, from young children to adults. To ensure everyone in your group has a magical experience, consider the age-appropriateness of each attraction. For families with young children, prioritize attractions such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and dark rides like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, or Alice in Wonderland. For older children and adults, thrilling attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or The Haunted Mansion might be more appealing.

Nostalgic Attractions and Classics

For those who have a special place in their hearts for classic Disneyland attractions or want to experience the park’s nostalgic charm, be sure to prioritize iconic and unique rides like Peter Pan’s Flight, the Mad Tea Party, or the Disneyland Monorail. These attractions have stood the test of time and continue to delight guests of all ages.

By carefully considering your group’s interests and prioritizing attractions accordingly, you’ll be able to create a personalized Disneyland Park experience that ensures everyone has a memorable and magical day.

Utilizing the Disneyland App for Real-Time Updates

One of the best ways to stay informed and make the most of your day at Disneyland Park is by using the Disneyland app. This handy tool, available for smartphones, is like having your very own personal tour guide right in your pocket, ensuring you’re always in the know and ready to make the most of every magical moment.

Benefits of the Disneyland App

The Disneyland app offers a treasure trove of features designed to make your park experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible. With real-time wait times for attractions, you’ll always know which rides are worth a visit and when to hop in line. Plus, you can quickly access showtimes and entertainment schedules so you never miss a beat.

Craving a bite to eat? The app’s got you covered with mobile ordering for food and beverages, allowing you to order your favorite treats with just a few taps on your phone. And if you need help finding your way around, the app’s park maps and navigation tools will lead you straight to the magic.

How to Use the App Effectively

To make the most of the Disneyland app, follow these simple steps:

Download and set up the app before your visit. Be sure to download the app to your smartphone and create an account before you arrive at the park. This way, you’ll be all set to start using its features as soon as you step through the gates.

Familiarize yourself with the app’s features and layout. Spend some time exploring the app’s various functions and getting to know its layout. This will save you time in the park and ensure you can quickly access the information you need.

Use the app throughout the day to stay informed and plan accordingly. Make a habit of checking the app regularly during your visit to Disneyland Park.

By incorporating the Disneyland app into your park experience, you’ll stay one step ahead of the crowds and ensure you make the most of every enchanting moment at Disneyland Park. Happy exploring!

Child Swap and Rider Switch Strategies

Child Swap and Rider Switch services are designed for guests with young children or those with special needs. They allow one adult to wait with a non-riding child or guest while the rest of the party experiences the attraction. Once the first group has finished, the waiting adult can then experience the attraction without having to wait in line again. This is a awesome for lunch time and nap breaks, where the kids may be absorbed in what they’re doing but parents won’t miss memorable first rides.

The holidays seem to come faster and faster every year. Here we are in October and many people are already thinking about Christmas!

It may come as a surprise to many but there’s actually a holiday between Halloween and Christmas. I know, it’s crazy talk! But Thanksgiving, as it’s come to be known, is a little talked about holiday that has come to represent family and thankfulness.

I’m kidding! Of course, you know what Thanksgiving is! What comes to mind is probably turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce – oh my! But, have you ever thought of spending Thanksgiving at Walk <keyword data-keyword-id="933">Disney</keyword> World?

Thanksgiving Day Crowds at <keyword data-keyword-id="934">Disney</keyword> World

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year at <keyword data-keyword-id="935">Disney</keyword> parks.

Unfortunately, many folks have the same idea; that it’s a holiday so surely no-one will be there. That leads to higher than average crowds.

Big crowds don’t mean you won’t have a good time! I promise!

It just requires a bit more patience and planning.

Tips for Visiting <keyword data-keyword-id="936">Disney</keyword> World on Thanksgiving Day

Get up and get going early, I mean like rope drop early. Crowds are thinnest during the first 1-2 hours at any <keyword data-keyword-id="937">Disney</keyword> park because most guests don’t want to be up early on vacation. It may be painful when the alarm goes off, but you can knock out most rides on your to-do list before lunch.

Plan to do more than just rides. They’re great, sure, but there are so many limited time or single day attractions happening on Thanksgiving day! Parades, shows, holiday specials – that you won’t have an opportunity to see again unless you’re back the next year. Check out our Top Picks for Thanksgiving Day.

Enjoy a late or Thanksgiving dinner, depending on your plans. If you’d like to see special day-time events book a late dinner. Those interested in night-time events are better off booking for early afternoon. Find out where to eat on Thanksgiving Day!

Make good use of your FastPass+ It’s a very busy day for <keyword data-keyword-id="938">Disney</keyword>. Once the crowds begin to fill the parks, you’ll likely see hour-long wait times for nearly everything. See the top FastPass picks by park!

Have a plan. Yes, I say this about all <keyword data-keyword-id="939">Disney</keyword> trips (hence the site name, guys!) But it’s especially important on a day like Thanksgiving. High crowds and a surplus of choices means it will be easy to miss (or forget) what you wanted to do or get irritated that you can’t do anything in a timely manner. Use my Thanksgiving Day Itinerary!

What to Do and See on Thanksgiving Day

Disney offers amazing rides, shows, and entertainment every day of the year. But it gets even better during the holiday season and Thanksgiving day experiences it all.

Where to Eat on Thanksgiving Day

We all know the best part of any trip to <keyword data-keyword-id="942">Disney</keyword> is the spectacular food! From snacks to drinks, desserts, and dinner – there’s something you’re bound to love! Thanksgiving is no different! You can find turkey inspired treats at these locations:

Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom will be serving lunch and dinner.

You can find lunch and dinner in Epcot at Akershus Royal Hall, Biergarten, Coral Reef, Le Cellier Steakhouse, and the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room

Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Sanna will offer reservations for lunch and dinner.

The California Grill at <keyword data-keyword-id="943">Disney</keyword>‘s Contemporary will serve Dinner

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort will offer Dinner

At Disney’s Wilderness Lodge the Whispering Canyon Cafe will be serving a family-style lunch and dinner

Trail’s End at Fort Wilderness will have a buffet style lunch and dinner.

Slightly off-site you can find Thanksgiving meals at Todd English’s Bluezoo and Garden Grove at the Swan & Dolphin hotels.

If you can’t bring yourself to leave the parks and need a festive treat be sure to grab a Turkey Leg

The FastPasses You Need to Get

Fastpasses are more important than ever on busy days at <keyword data-keyword-id="944">Disney</keyword> World! The best time of day to schedule your ride reservations is mid-afternoon to early evening. Depending on your park of choice, here’s the Fastpass+ reservations to try and grab

Animal Kingdom

Flight of Passage

Kilimanjaro Safari

Expedition Everest

Magic Kingdom

Seven Dwarves Mine Train

Peter Pan

Space Mountain

Hollywood Studios

Slinky Dog Dash

Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster

Twilight Tower of Terror

Epcot

Soarin’

Epcot Character Spot

Frozen Ever After

Thanksgiving Day 2018 Itinerary*

Extra Magic Morning Hours are at Epcot on Thanksgiving day, from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. Normally I’m in favor of using EMH, but based on the special event schedules I’m recommending that you stay clear.

I suggest rope dropping either Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, whichever you have a stronger affinity towards. Fastpasses will be best utilized at Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Magic Kingdom will be decked out for the holidays and is home to some of the most iconic attractions. Crowds will likely be denser here than Animal Kingdom, as many will be out to see the decorations and classic rides. If this is your choice try rope dropping these rides.

Seven Dwarves Mine Train

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Space Mountain

Peter Pan

Animal Kingdom

While Animal Kingdom will not have nearly the same degree of holiday-themed decor as Magic Kingdom, there will be some. The crowds will be lesser than Magic Kingdom, which gives you an advantage to rope drop one of the most popular rides on property.

Flight of Passage

Kilimanjaro Safari

Na’vi River Journey

Afternoon

You should be able to fit in 3-5 rides within the first 2 hours at either of these parks. Hop over to Epcot and enjoy lunch from one of the many offerings at the International Festival of holidays.

When you’re finished jump over to Hollywood Studios and use your fastpasses. Time allowing, you should be able to catch a portion of the Thanksgiving Parade of Bands. The parade begins at 2:00 pm, so try to book your fastpasses accordingly.

Evening

The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is one of the highest rated holiday events and my recommendation for nighttime entertainment. Dinner packages are available and highly recommended. Purchase of the Candlelight Processional Package guarantees you a seat to the event.

Reservations for the package are available until 5:30 pm, though they are quickly being booked. If you’re not able to reserve a package that fits your schedule try and book a late night dining reservation at one of the aforementioned locations.

Without the Candlelight Processional package, you will need to be diligent about getting your seat. Pick the performance time that best fits your plans (5:00 pm, 6:45 pm, or 8:15 pm) and arrive at least 30 minutes prior. Enjoy your late night meal after the show. Time permitting you can jump in line for 1-2 rides to round off the night.

*Please note this itinerary recommendation is purely that. I cannot guarantee fastpass+ or dining reservations will be available.

To <keyword data-keyword-id="824">Disney</keyword> or not to <keyword data-keyword-id="825">Disney</keyword>? That’s the question most of us find ourselves asking when it comes to small children. Should we take them to a <keyword data-keyword-id="826">Disney</keyword> Park if they’re not even going to remember it? Well the short answer is, yes.

You absolutely can, and should, take your child to <keyword data-keyword-id="827">Disney</keyword> at any age you want!

True fact: Kids under 3 get in for free. So, why wouldn’t you bring them along? The child may not remember it, but you will. Everyone that embarks on the vacation with you will remember too. And trust me, there is nothing quite like the magic of your child’s face lighting up when they meet they’re favorite character. Not to mention the oh so cute photos you’re about to have.

Of course, a <keyword data-keyword-id="828">Disney</keyword> trip with a toddler or infant is going to be different than an adults only trip. There are many things you have to consider when it comes to bringing along you’re little one. No need to worry though, because we’ve got the info you need.

Safety

First and foremost, let’s talk about safety. A trip to <keyword data-keyword-id="829">Disney</keyword> can be a ton of fun, and it should be. But there are literally tens of thousands people inside each of the parks. It’s hot. And if you’re not careful it can be a recipe for disaster. So, don’t take these tips lightly as they could make a world of difference.

Take a Picture Each Morning

It seems like a no brainer that you would take a fabulous family photo at the park entrance first thing! But, it’s also easy to see the line for that photo op and change your mind. Taking a photo first thing in the morning, whether it’s at the hotel, park, or even on the bus, can make a big difference if your child gets lost.

Yes, even the little kids can stray – especially if they catch a glimpse of Mickey. Having a photo ensures that you can provide an accurate description of your child’s outfit. Even if you think you have the best memory and could never forget what you put them in this morning. Once you’re in crisis mode it’s easy to forget little things like the color of their shirt. So take a photo.

And if your child changes clothing for any reason, because they’re kids and they spill stuff and spit up, take a new picture.

Give Your Kid a Tattoo

The next thing you should do, is get your kid some ink. Literally. Grab a Sharpie and write your cell number on their arm. Then, use a liquid bandage product to make sure the ink stays in place and doesn’t wash off in the water rides.

In the event your child sneaks away, they won’t have to try and remember how to contact you. <keyword data-keyword-id="830">Disney</keyword> Cast members are trained to take all lost children to a specified location at the front of the park. From there they can use a phone to contact you, if they know the number.

Make an Emergency Plan

Losing a child in any situation is one of the most terrifying experiences I can imagine. But, it is a real possibility. Especially in a crowded <keyword data-keyword-id="831">Disney</keyword> park, filled with countless things that grab your little guys attention. The tips above will absolutely help you to connect with your child should this happen.

But it’s equally important to teach your child what to do in this situation. Let them know to find an employee ASAP. They can go into a store and find someone who works behind the counter, or look for someone in a uniform with a name tag. The trouble here is that there are many different uniforms at <keyword data-keyword-id="832">Disney</keyword>.

My family has always taught the littles to find someone behind a counter, but tailor your plan to your child to make sure they understand.

Comfort

Whew, that was way too serious for a <keyword data-keyword-id="833">Disney</keyword> post. With safety solutions in place, we’re going to talk a bit about keeping everyone comfortable.

Take a Break

Disney is exhausting enough as it is, but even more so when you are caring for a toddler or baby at the same time. You’re not just worried about reservations, but also keeping the baby safe and satiated.

That’s why you need to plan on taking some kind of break. Maybe that just means you sit down and have a table service lunch, or catch an indoor show. Or maybe you prefer to head back to your hotel and rest for a while. There are several great places around all the parks where you can sit in the shade, enjoy a snack or people watch, and allow a little one to take a nap in a stroller.

Many moms say their best strategy is to arrive at the parks earlier, take a long afternoon break, and head back for evening shows or magic hours.

Baby Care Centers

Each <keyword data-keyword-id="834">Disney</keyword> park has at least one Baby Care Center. It’s an indoor, air conditioned area where you can take a break or take care of duty away from the park hub-ub. They offer a reasonable selection of baby essentials (albeit overpriced), as well as rocking chairs, and privacy for diaper changing and breastfeeding.

Stroller Selection

There are a few considerations when picking your ideal stroller for a <keyword data-keyword-id="835">Disney</keyword> park. If your child is small enough to fit comfortably in an umbrella style stroller, I highly recommend one. This is for one major reason, they’re easy to quickly fold and set up. When you are moving on and off buses and through park security all day, you’ll thank me. You don’t want to be holding your child the entire time you’re waiting for a bus to arrive, and once it stops you have to hustle to hop on.

For larger children, this isn’t the ideal solution. You want to invest in a quality stroller, that they will feel comfortable in all day. There are tons of great companies in the Orlando area that offer stroller rentals, and will deliver them straight to your hotel. A recent trend are Keenz, which is more of a stroller wagon hybrid. They’re great to hold your child, and all your stuff, and have a shaded canopy.

Diaper (Bag) Duty

Packing a park bag is an art form, and a diaper bag is no different. There are the usual suspects you’ll want to include; diapers, wet wipes, rash cream, etc. But here are a few more you may not have thought of

Change of clothes

Large zip-loc bags (to hold dirty/wet clothes)

Sunscreen

Anti-bacterial spray

Snacks (for both children and adults)

Experiences

Of course, the #1 reason you are taking your child to a <keyword data-keyword-id="836">Disney</keyword> park is for the experience. You want them to meet their favorite characters, go for a spin on their first ride, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Free Character Dining

Children under 3 eat free at buffets around <keyword data-keyword-id="837">Disney</keyword> World. This is fan-freaking-tastic because most of the buffets are character meals. That means you can knock out 3-5 meet & greets in a single meal, and your child eats for free. That is one heck of a hack.

Disney Firsts

A little known secret at <keyword data-keyword-id="838">Disney</keyword> World is the First Haircut Package on Main Street in Magic Kingdom. You can watch your little guy, or girl, get their locks clipped for the first time right in the middle of the magic. They’ll receive a Mickey hat and certificate as a souvenir as well.

Rider Swap

Okay, this one is for you! While there are many rides and attractions that you can take your tykes on at <keyword data-keyword-id="839">Disney</keyword> Parks (Check out our list for <keyword data-keyword-id="840">Disney</keyword> World and Disneyland). They’re not going to be able to ride everything. But you might still want to get a high flying experience on some of the big kid rides.

Enter Rider Swap.

With Rider Swap 1 adult can enter the attraction of choice, either via standby or Fastpass, and ask for a swap pass. Once they’ve ridden the attraction they can hand that pass over to another adult, who can then go straight to the front of the line. Keep in mind, that if the first adult uses a FastPass, the second will need to have one as well.

What are your favorite tips and tricks to doing <keyword data-keyword-id="841">Disney</keyword> with a little one?

Disneyland is the original and it’s the only park that Walt actually stepped foot in. Yes, it’s smaller than <keyword data-keyword-id="814">Disney</keyword> World but it’s charm is in the history. There is no other <keyword data-keyword-id="815">Disney</keyword> park on earth where you can ride the same submarine that Walt <keyword data-keyword-id="816">Disney</keyword> rode.

Love him or hate him, Walt was the creator of all the magic we know <keyword data-keyword-id="817">Disney</keyword> for today. And there is something utterly astonishing about walking in his footsteps. If you haven’t visited home yet, it is something you have to do at least once. And while you’re planning that magical trip, here’s a helpful guide to all the rides at the Disneyland Resort.

Now, the last time I created a rides list (for <keyword data-keyword-id="818">Disney</keyword> World) I got a little flack about what I categorized as “For Mature Adults & Seniors” and “For Grade School”, specifically. So, I wanted to make sure we’re all on the same page. Just because a ride is in one category, doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyed by guests who are not.

Each ride is included in the list only once, so it is placed in the category it is predominately directed towards. The Mature Adults & Seniors encompasses rides that are less thrilling (than coasters) but may have elements that could frighten little ones. Teens & Young Adults is filled with high action rides with thrill value. Rides in Grade School have low thrill value, low fear value, but incorporate characters or creatures this age is familiar with. Young Kids rides are slow movers, that you will probably want to skip unless you have young kids.

It’s hard to imagine that anyone could be anything less than ecstatic thinking about a <keyword data-keyword-id="740">Disney</keyword> vacation. Unfortunately, though, there seems to be just such a person in nearly every trip. It never fails.

Maybe they didn’t get enough chocolate as a child, or maybe the world has simply jaded them. Either way, having an un-enthused or even un-willing participant in your <keyword data-keyword-id="741">Disney</keyword> vacation party can put a damper on things. The smaller the group, the more profound the impact

Who Are These People?

Maybe you are one of those lucky people that have no idea what I’m talking about. Everyone you ever meet LOVES <keyword data-keyword-id="742">Disney</keyword> parks and family vacations. Lol – ya, okaay. There’s a lot of different types of negative Nancy’s out there, but these are the 3 most common.

The Significant Other Who Doesn’t Get it

Raise your hand if your husband, boyfriend, wife, girlfriend, or otherwise deemed significant other has rolled their eyes when you suggested a trip to <keyword data-keyword-id="743">Disney</keyword>. We still love them, of course, but wouldn’t life be easier if they understood our obsession let alone were willing to indulge us?

Family Who Think It’s Just <keyword data-keyword-id="744">Disney</keyword>

Then there’s the family members that think you’ve lost your mind planning a trip. On my family’s first <keyword data-keyword-id="745">Disney</keyword> World trip I earned several nicknames because of my planning. I had spreadsheets, day planners, and notebooks filled with information. Not everyone understands the intricacies of a big trip like this. There’s a LOT to keep track of.

Kids Who Ask for Harry Potter

I love video clips of <keyword data-keyword-id="746">Disney</keyword> surprise trip reveals. Usually the kids are overwhelmed with joy, they even cry sometimes because they’re just so happy. But, then there are videos where the kid gets excited because they got a watch! Only to be sorely disappointed when informed the device is actually a Magic Band. Talk about deflating the <keyword data-keyword-id="747">Disney</keyword> balloon.

Or worse, they spend the trip asking to see characters or ride rides that are in other themeparks. Ugh – well at least you know for next time right?

How the Heck Do You Deal With it?

It’s frustrating and honestly a little bit depressing trying to plan a vacation with someone who isn’t interested. You’re pumped! Excited to start researching the latest rides, scoping out the snacks you want to try, and shopping for more Minnie Ears than you’ll even have time to wear. Then, out of nowhere you here it “don’t you want to vacation anywhere else?” ummmmmmm….No.

Honestly, it broke my heart the first time this happened to me. It was a boyfriend, who I’d been dating for a few months. I wanted to make the trip, but I was really worried I’d never want to bring him again if he couldn’t get interested. What’s a girl to do?! Then it was a sister who had absolutely no interest in the big family trip I was planning for us all. There’s always 1 Debbie Downer.

So, here’s some of the tricks I’ve used to help get everyone on board and maybe even convert them to the dark side.

I mean <keyword data-keyword-id="748">Disney</keyword> side. Ya, right – that’s what I mean.

Talk About It

Crazy as it might sound, there are people in the world who have never entertained the notion of a <keyword data-keyword-id="749">Disney</keyword> park trip. It’s not necessarily that they won’t enjoy it, they’ve just never done it. That was the case with my boyfriend, he had been to <keyword data-keyword-id="750">Disney</keyword> World once 13 years before we met and never thought about it again. When I mentioned a day trip to Disneyland he agreed, but every time I asked his thoughts on something related he said “whatever you want babe.”

One day I got so annoyed that he had agreed to go but wouldn’t participate in planning that I had to say something, so I do. I asked why he was so indifferent, did he even want to go? I explained what the trip meant to me and why I was such an avid fan and park goer.

After that, he tried to be more involved and even, after 4+ years together now, knows the difference between Disneyland and <keyword data-keyword-id="751">Disney</keyword> World. He even knows which rides are in which parks. It may not be a big deal to all, but once I explained my stance he was happy to be involved with something that made me happy.

Not Everyone Is Happy the Same Way

I learnt something in that conversation with my boyfriend. Just because he wasn’t breaking out the spreadsheets or making matching shirts didn’t mean he didn’t want to go. Not everyone jumps for joy and not everyone is interested in the planning. Some folks can be excited and still be able to talk about other stuff. I’m totally not one of those people (hence this site), but that doesn’t mean my way is the only way.

Educate Themselves

This one pertains more to kids than adults, but it could make for a fun date idea to. Help some of your friends or family to get excited by rekindling some of the <keyword data-keyword-id="752">Disney</keyword> magic. How? Watch some movies of course! That’s where it started, after all.

With all the new properties being added to <keyword data-keyword-id="753">Disney</keyword> parks, there is literally something for everyone. There’s super heroes, Star Wars, princesses, cowboys, talking animals, and – well you probably get the idea. Once the youngin’s in your group remember their favorite characters, they’ll be stoked at the idea of meeting them in person.

Show Them What They’re Getting Into

People think that <keyword data-keyword-id="754">Disney</keyword> is just for kids. And it’s not, it’s for everyone. There’s quite a few rides that kids cannot even ride on. Help the fuddy duddies in your group get to know the grown up side of <keyword data-keyword-id="755">Disney</keyword> with videos of the big kid rides. YouTube is FILLED with POV videos of rides at all of the parks. Just be sure you show them rides from the parks you’re going to, or you could end up with disappointment.

Know When to Let it Go

Not everyone is a <keyword data-keyword-id="756">Disney</keyword> person, and try as you might you may not be able to show them the light. It’s okay, variety is the spice of life. Once you’ve explained your position, accepted they may express their excitement differently, and shown them some of the best parts of a trip – know when to let it go. If you feel like your experience is going to hampered by the presence of a nay-sayer, consider a new trip buddy (if you can).

That’s not always possible though, so if there’s nothing elese

Enjoy Your Trip Your Way

Haters are gonna hate, and if it’s your significant other or your child or other family it’s a buzzkill. But there is a silver lining, you can plan the trip however you want. Stop worrying about what attractions will change their mind, or which character will thaw their heart.

Get FastPasses for the rides that YOU love and stand in line for the characters YOU want to meet.

Don’t let someone else rain on your parade.
